Data Deletion Instructions
These instructions explain how to request deletion of personal data held by CHRONOS ALERTS, including information associated with its Instagram and Threads integrations.
To request deletion, open the contact page and select “Privacy Request”. You do not need to log in to read this page or submit a request.
What data CHRONOS ALERTS may hold about you
Instagram integration. CHRONOS ALERTS keeps the connected publishing account’s Instagram user ID and access token in server-side credential storage. It also caches the account ID, username and identity-verification time in its operational records.
Threads integration. CHRONOS ALERTS stores the connected publishing account’s Threads user ID, username, access token, token expiry when supplied, and connection/update timestamps in a restricted database record. Access tokens authorize CHRONOS publishing and related account operations; they are not displayed on public pages.
Publishing records. The service also stores post and media identifiers, publication status and timestamps, and operational or audit records for its social publishing activity. These integrations connect the CHRONOS publishing accounts; reading the website does not connect your own Instagram or Threads account.
Contact-form messages. If you contacted CHRONOS ALERTS through the contact form, the message stores the name, email address, inquiry type, subject, message text and, optionally, an alert URL you provided. For rate-limiting, a one-way hash of your connection address is stored with the message instead of the address itself.
Provider data. Like any website, hosting and security providers process standard technical information (IP address, browser type, requested page, time of request) in their logs under their own schedules, and Google Analytics 4 measures aggregate visits. CHRONOS ALERTS does not control these provider-side logs; see the Privacy Policy.
How to request deletion
- Open the contact form.
- Under inquiry type, select “Privacy Request”.
- Use a subject such as “Data deletion request” and state which personal data you want deleted.
- For an Instagram or Threads integration request, identify the platform and account username or account ID, if known. For a contact-message request, use the original email address where possible and include enough context to find the message.
- Send the message. No payment or special form is required.
Do not send passwords, access tokens, API keys or government IDs. A deletion request is reviewed by the operator; submitting the form does not automatically disconnect any account or delete any records.
What happens after a request
The operator reviews the request and may reply to the supplied email address to clarify its scope or verify your identity. For connected-account data, verification may require confirmation that you own the account or are authorized to act for it. Only information reasonably necessary to verify the request should be requested; knowing a public username alone does not establish ownership.
After verification, applicable personal data under CHRONOS ALERTS’s control is deleted or de-identified, unless a retention exception applies. Where an authorized request covers a connected publishing account, this includes removing its stored account information and access credentials and stopping CHRONOS’s use of that connection. Contact-message data is handled according to the verified request’s scope.
You will receive an email response explaining the outcome, any information retained and the reason, or why the request cannot be fulfilled. Requests are handled within the time required by applicable law; this is a reviewed process, not an instant automated deletion service.
Retention exceptions
Some information may be retained where necessary and permitted by law to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, protect security, or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Limited records of the request and its outcome may also be kept to demonstrate that the request was handled.
Operational and publication audit records are reviewed separately from connection credentials. Records that are not personal data may remain, and a request does not automatically erase the public news archive or every record of a published post. Any applicable exception will be explained in the response.
Copies in backups or provider-managed logs may remain until their normal retention cycle expires. This page does not promise immediate deletion from systems outside CHRONOS ALERTS’s control.
Instagram, Threads and other providers
Deleting data held by CHRONOS ALERTS does not delete your Instagram or Threads account, erase posts already held by Meta, or remove information that Meta holds independently. Removing a locally stored token is also not the same as revoking authorization at Meta.
You can separately use the relevant Meta account settings to remove CHRONOS’s access, where available, and use Meta’s own privacy tools for data held by Instagram or Threads. If your request concerns a CHRONOS-published post, identify it so the operator can assess the request; this page does not promise automatic removal of published content.
Hosting, security and analytics providers may retain information under their own policies and applicable legal obligations. See the Privacy Policy for additional context.
Other privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access or correct your personal information, or to restrict its use. The same “Privacy Request” inquiry type on the contact form covers those requests. See the Privacy Policy for details, including California-specific rights.
